System of a Down took to Instagram on Monday (December 9) to announce a series of three massive North American stadium shows set for 2025, with each date featuring a major rock band serving as co-headliner. The first show on SOAD’s stadium tour will take place on August 28th at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, featuring co-headliners Korn. The next show is set for August 31st at Soldier Field in Chicago with co-headliners Avenged Sevenfold. SOAD’s final North American stadium show is scheduled for September 3rd at Rogers Stadium in Toronto with co-headliners Deftones. All three shows feature opening acts Polyphia and Wisp. These upcoming stadium shows are a rare opportunity to see System of a Down perform live, with the band only playing occasional concerts after not releasing a new album in 19 years. In 2024, SOAD only played two total shows, including a gig with upcoming tourmates Deftones at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. (Consequence of Sound)
