The City of Mattoon has issued a boil order for the area east of Interstate 57 and for Dewitt Avenue East from The Fields Church to I-57. A water main break occurred along Route 16 east of I-57. The water main break has been isolated and repairs are underway. If you are affected, boil all water for at least five minutes before drinking, making ice cubes, washing food, brushing teeth, or in any activity involving consumption of water.
