If you happen to drive past Effingham High School Friday morning and see emergency vehicles in the parking lot and students gathered outside… don’t worry, everything is fine.
Effingham High School is hosting a large-scale career exploration event on Friday, March 20th. Nearly 70 businesses, organizations, trade groups, colleges, and military representatives will be on campus to give students a firsthand look at their options after graduation.
The event is interactive, which means fire trucks and law enforcement vehicles may be parked around the building as part of hands-on demonstrations. It’s all part of giving students a real, up-close look at the wide range of career paths available to them.
School officials want the community to know there’s no cause for concern if the scene looks a little unusual from the road. All students are participating and Effingham High School officials remain grateful to the community for backing an event of this size.
