The City of Effingham is inviting residents to get their hands dirty for a good cause later this month. A Community Tree Planting event is scheduled for Saturday, April 25th at Effingham City Hall, running from 9 a.m. to noon. The event is open to volunteers of all ages, making it a great opportunity for families, scout troops, civic groups, or anyone looking for a way to spend a Saturday morning.Â
All necessary equipment will be provided on site, so there’s no need to bring anything except your willingness to help out and some comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little muddy.
Tree planting events like this one have a lasting impact on a community. The trees planted this month will provide shade, improve air quality, and add to the character of downtown Effingham for decades to come. If you’d like to be part of it, just head to Effingham City Hall on the morning of April 25th!
