MATTOON – Register early for the next A.S.K. program at the Mattoon Public Library and receive a free copy of the book Nobody Wants Your Sh*t: The Art of Decluttering Before You Die.
A.S.K. is a series of programs that stands for Ask-Share-Know. The program at 9 a.m. on May 6 in the second-floor program room addresses decluttering and discarding items around the home or office.
The book uses humor and helpful tips to deal with your stuff like there is no tomorrow. Its approaches include dealing with indecision, giving your family a break and feeling great about what you’ve accomplished.
The series is led by library volunteer Laura Severson, a gerontologist who develops programming designed to help seniors navigate the world of aging.
The first 10 to register for the program will receive a free copy of the book. To register, go to mattoonlibrary.org, click on the calendar and go to May 6. You also may register by stopping by the library or calling 217-234-1720.
The program is offered in conjunction with the Lifespan Center, which will provide a small drink and snack.
