Eastern Illinois University has named Mark Wilson as its new Director of Athletics. Wilson brings more than 30 years of NCAA Division I leadership experience, including 21 years leading Tennessee Tech Athletics. During his tenure, Tennessee Tech won more than 45 Ohio Valley Conference championships, made 18 NCAA postseason appearances, and raised more than $30 million in athletic support. EIU President Jay Gatrell called Wilson a national leader with a vision that aligns with Panther Athletics. Wilson will begin his new role September 1st, saying his focus will be helping student-athletes succeed both in competition and in the classroom.
