Celebrate Tree Fest with Local Master Naturalists
MATTOON, Ill. – Celebrate Tree Fest with local Master Naturalists during a guided hike at Douglas-Hart Nature Center in Mattoon.
Participants will stroll through the beautiful grounds of Douglas-Hart Nature Center while exploring the fascinating world of trees and learning fun facts about trees and the animals they support.
The hike will take place Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Douglas-Hart Nature Center, 2204 Dewitt Ave. E., Mattoon. The hike will begin promptly at 1 p.m. and last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
Participants are invited to join local Master Naturalists for this opportunity to explore the nature center’s grounds and learn more about the trees and wildlife found throughout the area. Register at go.illinois.edu/TreeWalk2026.
