Du Quoin State Fair Announces 2026 Theme Days
Du Quoin, IL – Whether you’re honoring veterans, supporting agriculture, recognizing first responders, or enjoying time with family, the 2026 Du Quoin State Fair theme days highlight the traditions and people that make Southern Illinois special.
“Our theme days give visitors a chance to celebrate something that connects them to the Du Quoin State Fair,” said Luke Davison, Du Quoin State Fair Manager. “We want every guest to feel welcome and leave with memories that bring them back year after year.”
The 2026 Du Quoin State Fair theme days include:
Friday, August 28 – Family Night
Saturday, August 29 – Governor’s Day
Sunday, August 30 – Veterans Day
Monday, August 31 – Agriculture Day
Tuesday, September 1 – Republican Day
Wednesday, September 2 – Senior Day
Thursday, September 3 – Sponsor Appreciation Day
Friday, September 4 – Illinois Tourism Day
Saturday, September 5 – Coal Heritage Day / SIU College Day
Sunday, September 6 – First Responders Day
Monday, September 7 – Labor Day
The Du Quoin State Fair ribbon cutting will be held on Friday, August 28 at 5:30 p.m. with the Twilight Parade stepping off at 6 p.m. The grand marshal of the parade is Sam Kuhnert of NubAbility.
Admission to the fair is free, and parking is free on August 28. For remaining fair dates, parking is $15 for Gate 1, and $10 for all other gates. Please visit dsf.illinois.gov for additional information including seasonal parking and handicap parking details.
