Mattoon Police made multiple arrests over the weekend. 40-year old Darcy Williams was taken into custody Saturday evening and charged with criminal trespass to property and disorderly conduct. The charges allege that Williams remained at a residence after repeatedly being advised to leave by the owner, and police, and that she created a disturbance within the neighborhood. Later that night, 33-year old Tera Whalin was arrested in the 2000 block of Western Avenue due to a Macon County warrant for failing to appear in court on a charge of shoplifting. 20-year old Cassie Casteel was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with battery and resisting a peace officer. Mattoon Police say Casteel threw an item at an officer and attempted to punch him as well. Early yesterday (Monday) morning, Tyler Jordan of Decatur was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. The charge alleges that he threatened another man with a pistol, which was found to be a BB gun.
