A two car collision along Interstate 70 during the late morning hours of Tuesday, June 28th send one to the hospital. According to the Illinois State Police both vehicles were traveling west along I-70 around mile post 60 in Fayette County. Driver Archie Mcrae of Anderson, SC was slowing down due to traffic, while driver Elizabeth Snowdale of Bowdoinham, ME failed to reduce her speed. Elizabeth ended up swerving to the left striking the rear of Archie’s driver’s side quarter panel Trailer. This collision caused the car to head off the roadway to the left, which came to a rest on its side in the median. Elizabeth has been charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and transported to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
