If you’re interested in adding some four-legged friends to the family, the Bureau of Land Management will have a wild horse and burro adoption this Saturday (July 9) in Ewing, Illinois, which is about 2-hours south of Mattoon. Officials expect to have about 40 horses and possibly a few yearlings and burros there. The preview starts at 9:00am. The adoption fee is $125 for animals younger than 3-years of age. A second animal may be adopted for $25, which is also the rate for animals older than 3-years old. For more details, call 1-866-468-7826.
