A gas leak occurred on the campus of Eastern Illinois University on Monday. The leak started at approximately 11:30 a.m. Monday when an Ameren Illinois crew broke a natural gas pipe when they were excavating in the alley behind Marty’s. Ameren Illinois crews secured the broken gas line at 1:05 p.m.
