Sunday Crash Sends Three to Hospital

Three people were injured in a head-on collision last night near Teutopolis.  Authorities say a vehicle driven by 37-year-old David Abbott, of Toledo, was eastbound on Route 40 near 1800^th street when the front driver’s side tire blew causing him to swerve into the westbound lane striking a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Johnathon Dalton, of Sesser.  Three passengers in Dalton’s vehicle, Stephanie R. Dalton, also of Sesser, an infant, and an 8-year-old were transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital for minor injuries. There were no charges as a result of the accident.
