A crash this morning (Tuesday, September 6) has left a Brownstown woman dead. According to the Illinois State Police, Kelli Ann Powell, age 32 of Brownstown was traveling southbound on CR1600 E, 1 mile north of Brownstown in Fayette County, when she drove off the roadway to the left and struck a guardrail face then struck a concrete bridge face head – on. Powell was pronounced dead at the scene. The Fayette County Coroner’s office is assisting with the investigation.
