Casey-Westfield stepped out of Little Illini Conference play to take on undefeated Monticello out of the Okaw Valley Conference on Friday night.
Moticello showed early why they were 5-0 entering into this game. They scored twice early and continued to score throughout the game.
Their first score in the first quarter came from a Caleb Hanson pass to Devin Graham for 15 yards and the touchdown.
Still in the first, Lucas Leib ran in from 13 yards up and Monticello led 14-0 after one quarter.
Monticello, still holding Casey-Westfield scoreless, adds more in the second quarter. This time it was a Braden Snyder pass to Florey for 16 yards and a touchdown. Monticello led 22-0 after the first half.
Monticello held Casey-Westfield scoreless in the game, and added a touchdown pass from Snyder to Graham in the third quarter and a two yard Snyder run to wrap up the scoring in the game in the fourth quarter.
The final was Monticello 36, Casey-Westfield 0.
With the out of conference loss, Casey Westfield drops to 1-5 overall on the year and will host Red Hill next week back in Conference play.
Monticello remains undefeated at 6-0 on the year.
