The state is courting foreign buyers for its corn and soybean crops this week during the Illinois Grain Tour. Dozens of buyers from more than ten countries are making stops at Archer Daniels Midland in Decatur, a U. of I. research field in Sangamon County and an ethanol plant in Hennepin as the state tries to maintain its level of grain exports. State agriculture officials say nearly half the corn and soybeans grown in Illinois is exported, generating nearly two-hundred-million-dollars each year.
