Kirk And Duckworth Square Off In Springfield Debate
(Springfield, IL) — U.S. Senator Mark Kirk and challenger Tammy Duckworth continue to trade barbs less than two weeks before the General Election. The pair squared off last night in a televised debate at the University of Illinois at Springfield. Kirk accused his Democratic rival of lying and questioned her family’s ancestry and military service. Duckworth took the Republican to task for some of his controversial comments including likening President Obama to a “drug dealer in chief.”
