Operation Route 66, a project conducted by father and son team Kurt and Nick Gerber will be featuring Mattoon native Blake Leitch in one of their most recent documentaries this weekend. The 90 minute documentary will be shown tomorrow, Saturday, November 19th at the Fields Church in Mattoon, showtime is 5:30 PM. There is no charge to attend.
Operation Route 66 consists of Kurt and Nick who ride the county on motorcycles along Route 66, stretching from Chicago to Los Angeles. Along they way they take time to interview various veterans who have served in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and share their stories.
