State employees in Illinois have at least a few more weeks of labor peace. A judge in St. Claire County yesterday blocked Governor Rauner from imposing his “final offer” on AFSCME members. AFSCME and Rauner are at odds over a new contract. Illinois’ Labor Relations Board has said there’s an impasse and the governor can order changes. The ruling puts the governor’s potential order on hold until at least the second week of January.
