More Illinois schools are serving more low-income kids than ever before. A new report from the education advocates at Advance Illinois say the number of schools with a majority of low-income kids jumped from 13-percent to 43-percent over the past ten years. Advance Illinois released the report yesterday as lawmakers are still slowly slogging though discussions about how to change the way the state pays for schools.
