Governor Rauner: More Managed Care Patients, Fewer Companies
(Chicago, IL) — Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner wants to move more people on the state’s Medicaid rolls into managed care. But he wants fewer companies to handle their cases. The governor yesterday outlined a plan to have between four and seven companies manage care for 65-percent of the three-million people enrolled in Medicaid. Rauner says managed care saves money, but Illinois’ current program is a bureaucratic mess.
