Nic Hutchinson struck out ten over four-innings and had three hits and three RBI in Windsor/Stew-Stras’ 14-0 shutout of Shelbyville. Newton took down Mount Carmel, 9-2, Casey-Westfield blanked CH/BC, 8-0, Marshall roughed up Cumberland, 15-4, and North Clay swept Crete Illinois Lutheran, 5-1 and 14-1.
Softball:
Lake Land took two from Southwestern, 8-0 and 19-0, EIU split their doubleheader with Kennesaw State, dropping game one, 3-1, and winning the nightcap, 9-6. Windsor/Stew-Stras got by Shelbyville, 4-3, Sullivan lost to Maroa-Forsyth, Morrisonville shut out Vandalia, 9-0, Robinson fell to Mount Carmel, Odin over Dieterich, 11-2, and Marshall blanked Cumberland, 8-0.
