An Effingham woman was injured in a single vehicle accident Saturday morning. Authorities say 29-year-old Tiffany McWhorter was eastbound on 300th Avenue when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a culvert, causing the vehicle to become airborne. After landing, the vehicle struck a utility pole. McWhorter was taken to St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries. She was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
