According to a press release from the MPD, Mattoon police arrested Susan E. Sayers, age 54 and homeless of Mattoon, on Wednesday May 10th at 4:10 p.m. The arrest occurred in the 2100 block of Champaign Ave. Sayers was charged with Criminal Trespass to Property. The charge alleges that she was present at Gaines Apartments, a property from which she had been previously banned. Sayers was out of jail on bond at the time of her current arrest, due to a previous arrest for criminal trespass at the same property. Bond conditions from that case required that Sayers not return to Gaines Apartments. Sayers was taken to the jail.
