Hot Dogs Recalled For Metal Shards
(Cincinnati, OH) — More than 200-thousand pounds of Nathan’s and Curtis brand beef hot dogs are being recalled because they may contain shards of metal. The affected franks were produced in January and shipped to stores across the country. Parent John Morrell & Company says it received several complaints of the problem but no reports of illness or injury. The recall applies to 14-ounce packages of Nathan’s Skinless 8 Beef Franks, with a use-by date of August 19th, and 16-ounce packages of Curtis Beef Master Franks with an expiration of June 15th.
