A bicycle/train collision claims the life of one teenager in Piatt County. According to a recent press release from Illinois State Police District 10, the incident occurred the afternoon of Sunday, June 18th at Piatt St @ Norfolk Southern RR Crossing-Bement, IL. Preliminary details indicate a 14 year old was attempting to cross the railroad tracks at the railroad crossing while riding a bike, when the teen was stuck by a passing freight train.
