Effingham Polar Plunge

Thank you for Being Cool and taking the Plunge!  You are supporting Special Olympic Illinois athletes across the state, helping to provide them with life-changing programing.  This includes year-round training and competition, as well as leadership, personal development, and health education opportunities. 

Effingham Plunge at Lake Sara beach on Saturday, February 28th! 

• 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM - Plunger check-in & walk-up registration at the Lake Sara Pearson Building, 15250 N. Beach Rd., Effingham.
• 12:00 PM - Polar Plunge kick-off, including costume judging.
• 1:000 PM - Post-Plunge party with free meal for plungers at the American Legion, 200 W. Washington, Effingham. 

Polar Plungers will receive a free meal provided by the Rhodes Show Catering and refreshments provided by Heartland Coca-Cola.  Family members and fans are also welcome and can purchase a meal for $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12.
