(Undated) — Farmers are being told to bury underwear to improve the quality of their beef. A Scottish farming board and a meat quality organization claim that burying pair of briefs for two months in a pasture can reveal key details about soil health. Apparently, the underwear will remain intact if the soil is sterile. But, if the soil is healthy the underwear will be eaten away and the only part of it that will remain is the elastic waistband. Good soil conditions are said to directly impact the quality of feed that beef and sheep eat, and ultimately produce a tastier cut of meat.
