(Sioux Falls, SD) — The Senate’s number-three leader says there will be plenty of opportunities to change the tax-cut bill when it moves to the Senate floor, possibly this week. Senator John Thune tells “Fox News Sunday,” “We’re going to have an open process on the floor of the United States Senate, where people can offer amendments.” During that time, the South Dakota Republican says, senators will have “opportunities to change the bill in the direction that some of our senators want to see.” Getting a simple majority of 52 votes for passage won’t be easy. Republican Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin says he’s already a “no” vote.
