(New York, NY) — The ASPCA is recommending safety travel tips for your pet if you’re flying. After a puppy died on a recent United fight, the organization says you should get your pet microchipped, purchase a shipping crate that’s the correct size and mark the crate with the words “Live Animal.” A photo and temporary travel tag should also be in place on your pet’s collar. The ASPCA says travelers should book a direct flight when possible. In the meantime, United is taking a closer look at the puppy’s death.
