(Marina, CA) — A former CIA Director is suggesting President Trump may not have had the authority to take away John Brennan’s security clearance. On CBS’ Face the Nation, Leon Panetta said the move to take away former CIA Director John Brennan’s privileges may not be legal due to an Executive Order signed by President Clinton and updated by President George W. Bush. He says he believes there’s questions as to whether Trump followed the executive order and provided due process to Brennan. He adds Trump is not above the law and is required to abide by the executive order unless he’s prepared to change it.
