According to ABC News, the popular Snack Cake Brand Hostess has recalled many of their popular treats including Ding Dongs, Zingers, and Donuts. The cause for this recall is due to “Undeclared Peanut Residue” found in these baked desserts.
The decision to recall these products came after Hostess’s flour supplier, Grain Craft, issued their own recall for the possibility of peanut residue. Considering many Hostess products were made with this flour, the recall came to reduce the chance of individuals with a severe peanut allergy consuming the snack cakes.
