The torch run is an annual relay fund-raiser conducted by police officers representing every branch of law enforcement across the state. Approximately 3,000 officers will carry the FLAME OF HOPE nearly 1,500 miles, running through Illinois communities via 23 different legs to its final destination. The Opening Ceremonies of the Special Olympics Illinois Summer Games Begins on June 10th in Normal, IL.
Funds raised support Special Olympians participation in the 2016 Special Olympics Summer Games at Illinois State University in June.
