Tuesday, August 16th Art Spaces and The Vigo County Public Library are proud to present “Looking At Theodore Dreiser In the Spirit of his Name.” This is a talk and will be presented by Dr. Arthur Feinsod. The event is free and open to the public.
The event will take place on the lower level of the Vigo County Public Library starting at 5:00. Refreshments will be provided and talk begins at 5:15. A question and discussion session will follow.
Arthur Feinsod is an experienced playwright and director and teaches honors courses in the humanities department at Indiana State University, where he is also a professor of theater. In addition, Arthur is an Associate Director of Theater 7 in downtown Terre Haute.
Feinsod will be discussing Theodore Dreiser a Terre Haute native who was known as the “Father of American Naturalism”. Those in attendance will learn how Dreiser’s writing relates to subjects such as art, philosophy, and theater of his time as well as other relatable subjects.
