From WCIA, the Illinois Department of Public Health is considering adding a new condition to the list of disorders that qualify for medical marijuana. For the second time, a Cook County judge has asked that post-operative chronic pain disorder be added to the list. This means that doctors may soon be allowed to prescribe medical marijuana to patients who have had surgery, instead of opioids.
