Fire Prevention Week is officially underway and Saturday, October 15th, cap it off with The Charleston Fire Department as they present their annual Fire Prevention Week Open House from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Fire Station #2, which is located just behind Charleston McDonald’s. The event is open for the entire family and a great way to teach kids the importance of fire safety. Throughout the event several demonstrations are scheduled, in addition to a junior firefighter obstacle course, escape zone, kid’s fire pole, and more. There will also be food with free slushies and hot dogs as well as a bounce house.
