Temperatures dropped more than 20 degrees across the area Saturday, bringing the coldest air we’ve seen so far this season.
Saturday also marks the final day of Winter Preparedness Week.
As part of the event, the National Weather Service wants to make sure you’re reminded of the dangers the season can bring.
NWS meteorologists are reminding you of safety tips to prepare for cold temperatures and snow, for when you’re at home or have to drive during the winter season.
For example, reviewing the criteria for winter storm alerts is a good idea, so that you know the significance of an alert when it affects YOU.
