A recent tragedy at the University of Illinois during the “Unofficial” holiday weekend leads police to try harder to control the event.
University of Illinois Police Department spokesperson Patrick Wade tells WEIU-TV the department can not ban “Unofficial”, but they can make it less fun for those attending the event.
The ideas include even stricter regulations than the department already has.
The discussion comes after years of incidents occurring during the annual “Unofficial” weekend celebration that draws thousands to the U of I campus.
In fact, a death occurred during the recent event at the U of I campus.
