The University of Illinois’ search for a new head coach is over.
The Illini have hired Oklahoma State’s Brad Underwood to lead the university’s men’s basketball team.
The announcement was made via twitter as Illini A.D. Josh Whitman tweeted a picture with Underwood, as the two held a “#WeWillWin” sign.
Underwood has a plethora of coaching experience under his belt, having had good luck in the NCAA playoffs.
The news comes just days after Illinois fired head coach John Groce after a 19-14 season that kept the team short of the playoffs.
