According to a recent press release from Illinois State Police District 10, Captain Louis Kink, has announced the conduction of Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement (ACE) Patrols in Champaign and Vermilion County during the month of April.
Officers will be looking for drivers under the influence, driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, transporting open alcoholic beverages, as well as checking for safety belt and child restraint use, speeding, distracted driving, and Illinois vehicle code and criminal violations.
ACE patrols allow ISP to focus on the prevention, detecting, and taking enforcement action in response to violations associated with impaired driving and illegal transportation or consumption of alcohol or drugs.
