Another fatal house fire happened in Pana this weekend.
WAND-TV reports the Pana Fire Department was dispatched to a home in the 400 block of East Fourth Street just after 10 a.m. Saturday.
Firefighters say shortly after entering the home, they encountered heavy flames, causing them to evacuate.
After the fire was extinguished, firefighters found a man who had died near a locked interior door. His identity is being withheld until the family is notified.
The Pana Fire Department was assisted by firefighters from Tower Hill, Nokomis, Oconee, Assumption, and Taylorville Fire Departments.
The cause is under investigation.
