In a recent press release from Illinois State Police, District 10 Commander, Captain Louis Kink, announces the results of a Roadside Safety Check (RSC) that was conducted in Champaign County during the late night hours of Friday, April 28th to early morning hours of Saturday, April 29th. The results are as follows:
DUI Citations: 1, Other Alcohol/Drug Citations: 1, Occupant Restraint Offenses: 3, Registration Offenses: 3, Driver’s License Offenses: 13, Insurance Violations: 10, Total Citations/Arrests: 25, Total Written Warnings: 17
RSC’s are designed to keep roads safe by taking dangerous DUI offenders off the road. The checks were conducted by the Champaign Police Department, Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, and University of Illinois Police Department. The RSC’s was funded through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
