Three are transported to an area hospital after a personal injury crash along I-57, southbound, during the morning hours of Wednesday, July 5th. According to a recent press release from Illinois State Police District 12, preliminary details indicate Clara Rojas-Manjarrez, 56, from Georgetown, TX (unit 1) was traveling South on I-57, just 3 miles south of Farina, when the vehicle blew a tire and swerved into the guardrail on the left side of the road, the vehicle then skidded right across the southbound lanes. The driver attempted to over correct to the left causing the vehicle to skid once more over the lanes, before overturning and landing in the grass median.
The driver along with two passengers, George Cedillo also from Georgetown, and an 8 year old female of Waukegan, IL were transported to the Salem Community Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
