(Washington, DC) — Attorney General Jeff Sessions is ordering an investigation into the national gun background check system after the shooting massacre at a church in Texas earlier this month. The probe will look into whether government agencies are fully and accurately reporting information to the system. The shooter in the rampage in Sutherland Springs was able to buy his guns legally despite being convicted in the military of domestic violence. That’s because the Air Force never put his name into the gun background check system. The Pentagon is already conducting a review of its policies over the misstep.
