(Chicago, IL) — Governor Rauner has some ambitious plans for his budget for the coming year. He told a group of reporters at a Cook County high school Monday that not only will his budget be balanced, it will include more money for schools, while reducing income taxes, cutting government spending and reducing the backlog of unpaid bills. Rauner pledged that the budget he’ll release next month will also include more changes to cut the costs to the state’s pension and healthcare systems.
