(Chicago, IL) — The State Health Department is thankful for a donation of four-thousand doses of the anti-overdose drug Narcan. The Aptar Group and Adapt Pharma are donating the Narcan nasal spray to help combat the effects of an opioid overdose. State public health director Dr. Nirav Shah says Narcan is a great tool in the fight against the opioid epidemic. Most of the doses will go to the state police and department of corrections officers for use in the field. Another 600 will go to the Chicago Recovery Alliance.
