(Mount Pleasant, MI) — A 19-year-old college student is being charged in the shooting death of his parents on the campus of Central Michigan University. James Davis Jr, was arrested without incident early Saturday after a 14-hour manhunt. Officials say Davis sought help the day before Friday’s shooting. Campus Police Chief Bill Yeagley said that he was acting so strangely that police took him to the hospital for suspected drug use. The next morning, James Davis Senior and his wife Diva Davis went to pick up their son for Spring Break. Police say the suspect shot his parents with his father’s gun, which was recovered at the scene. A university spokesperson says Davis has been charged with two counts of murder and a weapons charge.
