(Pensacola, FL) — The National Rifle Association is suing the state of Florida over its new gun laws. The NRA filed suit in federal court in Florida today shortly after Governor Scott signed the bill banning gun sales to anyone under the age of 21. The complaint seeks to block the law, claiming it violates the Second and 14th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution. The NRA argues the bill “prohibits an entire class of law-abiding, responsible citizens from fully exercising the right to keep and bear arms.” The lawsuit names state Attorney General Pam Bondi and Florida Law Enforcement Commissioner Rick Swearingen.
