(Washington, DC) — The Justice Department is taking action to help stop gun violence in schools. A letter from Attorney General Jeff Sessions asks federal agencies to show they are in compliance with the way records are reported to the national background check system. Sessions also urges prosecutors to go after people who claim they’re legally eligible to buy a gun when they are not. Sessions said that no child should fear going to school or walking the streets of their neighborhood.
