A Danville man, Contrelius A. Sloan, 31, is facing multiple charges after an arrest on Monday, April 2nd. According to a recent press release, on April 2nd around 8:00 a.m. an Illinois State Police District 10 officer was on patrol in Vermilion County responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch along I-74 east at milepost 198.5. The trooper made contact with the driver who was sitting in the front seat with the motor running. Sloan was placed under arrest for Wanted on Warrant.
Sloan also faces charges for the following: Aggravated Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol by a driver, wanted on a warrant, Aggravated Assault/Threatening Peace Officer, Driving while license revoked, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and improper lane usage. Sloan was processed at the Vermilion County jail.
